Though I only knew you for a short time, you were a special

I will always appreciate Wendy for her humor, her commitment to a wonderful mission, her loyalty and most of all her friendship over three decades.  I was just some vendor she inherited when she assumed HR leadership with a great organization.  She helped me more than anyone I’ve ever worked with. She taught me a lot and was usually quite nice-  but she was certainly not shy about scolding us if we let her and her employees down.    
When my bosses would come out from HQ to meet our clients, I’d always ask Wendy if we could visit.  Of course she charmed and impressed them, so when they left I knew they thought “hey, if a terrific leader like her in a great company like that thinks Bruno does an excellent job then maybe he actually is ½ as good as he thinks he is”    I like to joke around and I can still laugh thinking about some of Wendy’s subtle zingers.  You had to stay attentive because she was sharp and fast and could roll them out with no tip off – then a little later you would realize what she said and either laugh outloud or know she had given a message that you needed to up your game. 
I will always be grateful that Wendy gave me a chance to express to her in those last days that her loyalty and patience with me had made a huge impact on the way I was able to provide for my family. I was able to tell her how I treasured her friendship and how her illness was breaking my heart. Thank you Wendy, I will miss you. 


We are all so privileged to call Wendy- friend. Wendy was always so kind, considerate and caring of us.  Seeing her outside, while walking her dogs, She would brighten our day with a simply wonderful conversation.  She would always bring over and share her home cooking with us. Always thinking about others.  Wendy's beautiful smile and voice always brought  with it a ray of sunshine.  We miss her so much, but we take some comfort knowing she is with her Mom now.  

Wendy was such a great friend to me and my family and always took such good care of us. She was the most caring and generous person I've ever had the pleasure of working with and she mentored me through every different struggle in my young career, even if I didn't see eye to eye with her. She will be deeply missed by myself, my girlfriend and our daughter for the rest of our time here. To Paul, I'm thinking about you every day and I hope you'll be able to find some peace through this tragedy. This picture is from just a few months ago where her team from Recovery Innovations got together and shared a meal with her and Kina. RIP Wendy. I love you with all of my heart.
