Bud and I graduated from Charter Oak High School in 1943 and we have been friends ever since. I remember freshman Outing to Omaha, Ne. Sophmore outing to Storm Lake, Ia, Jounior year to Sioux City, Ia and Senior yr to Carroll, Ia.

I never got to met you, but. I feel like I knew you from jeanie..she so happy just to talk to you she looked forward to your visits and your time together.but she know your where your want to be,so she is happy about that and that is helping her to deal with her loss...carol is the only one I met.but if they are all like Jeanne,and carol then you lived a good life and raised a beautiful family......god be with you..

Dear Heidi,

As I have said before, your father could not have asked for a more loving, helpful and kind daughter.  I can recall countless phone calls between you and your dad always letting him know as to when you would be home, did he need you to pick up anything, or just listening to him and and being a phone call away when you were working. You were always very reassuring to him and gave him the comfort in knowing that he had someone there at all times whether to tell you something or vent to you, with your tone always being pleasant and always patient.

I know there will be quite an emptiness for you to get used to however, let the love and fond memories comfort you.  That's what any parent would want for their child.

Heidi...Your Dad was blessed with an amazing family and a daughter that those who know her, observed her always taking incredibly good care of him and bringing him home happiness every day.  You and your Dad were both blessed with an especially warm and loving relationship.  You are in the thoughts and prayers of your other family at FRGA.

You're the best mentor I ever had. I could not always see what I was being taught at first; but years later those lessons never failed me. It's amazing how German cuss words and I love you seem the same now. Working for you made me appreciate a time when you didn't need memos or staff meetings, but straight and clear direction. You were loyal and loving,maybe not always patient, but never lost faith in me. You were at my first football game, my first college visit, took me to my first NBA game, first driving lesson; actually you have been with me in everything I have done. Your great-granddaughters know your stories; and I know they hear you when I am offering helpful suggestions in not a very quiet manner. I love you Grandpa; and miss you immensely.
