Willabelle Marie Rhodes

Willabelle Marie Rhodes,79, of Phoenix, Az, went to the Lord on November 26, 2013. Willabelle "Billie" was born in Trinidad, CO. Her family moved to Concord, CA while she was in Elementary School. She graduated from Mt Diablo High School in 1952.

Billie ran for Pow Wow Queen in 1954 and was an attendant at the fair that year. She worked as a waitress at Berkley Farms Coffee Shop where she met her husband Al. They fell in love and were married December 4, 1954. Billie and Al raised their two children in the bay area and were very involved in the Walnut Creek Methodist Church. In 1979 Billie and Al moved to Phoenix, AZ. Billie enjoyed playing Bingo and getting together with her circle at church and serving our Lord in many ways. Billie was loved and cherished by many and always known for her smile.

Billie was preceded in death by her husband Al of 58 1/2 years. She is survived by her two children; Allan Rhodes Jr. of Plano, TX and Cynthia Koll (Marty) of Clayton, CA and their two daughters Kristie and her husband Chris and Great Grandson Micah and Jennifer and her husband Brian and Great Grandson Wesley. Billie also leaves behind several brothers and sisters, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral Services will be held at First United Methodist Church, 7201 N. 58th Drive, Glendale, AZ on Friday November 29th at 2:00 PM. Interment will be at the National Cemetery of Az at a later date.
