William Jonathan "Jon" McCall

William Johathan McCall (Jon) left his family and friends far too early, passing from this earth on Sunday, October 17, 2010. Jon was born in January 15, 1969 in Morgantown, NC. He lived the last 30 years in Phoenix. Jon was a graduate of Tolleson High School where he was active in athletics and an outstanding football player. Jon is the father of two outstanding children, Megan (12) and Andrew (7) who both exemplify their family values of excellence. His wife of 18 years, Andrea, is a teacher at West Wing Elementary School. John spent his career in the energy field. He had progressed to the position of Control Room Operator at Arlington Energy Facilities in Tonopah, AZ. Jon was popular with his friends and valued his role and reputation with them. Jon was active in outdoor sports, whether with his family or friends. He was a very good golfer, a scuba diver and a fisherman, which he and his family enjoyed doing as often as they could. All of those he was close to will miss Jon. Beside his wife and children, Jon is survived by his mother, Leslie McCall living in Idaho; his brother Chris from Phoenix; his grandmother Dorothy McCall who lives in North Carolina; nephew Brendan and niece Sarah who live in Peoria, AZ. He was predeceased by his father, William McCall and Jack McCall, his paternal grandfather. Jon’s all too early departure from this life will leave an emptiness for all who knew him well. A memorial service for Jon will be held on Friday, October 22, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary, 200 W. Beardsley Rd., Phoenix, AZ (623-434-7007).
