Aileen Smith Bowen Pickens, South Carolina Aileen Smith Bowen, 83, of 814 Old Bethlehem School Road, Pickens, S.C. passed from this life Thursday, June 26, 2014. Aileen was born in Oconee County and was the daughter of the late Freeman Smith and Lucille Whitt. She was retired from Ryobi Company and a member of East Pickens Baptist Church. Aileen loved flowers and gardening and was an avid Clemson Tiger Fan. She will be fondly remembered for her sparkling blue eyes and fun loving personality. Survivors include her son Tommy, daughter-in-law Jeannie and her beloved grandson, Cody and her precious dog “Snoopy”. Surviving, also are two brothers Ralph Smith of Townville, S.C. and Wilton “Dickie” Smith of North Carolina. She was predeceased by her loving husband Guy Bowen and three sisters and five brothers. The family is at the home of Tommy and Jeannie Bowen. Graveside service will be Saturday June 28, 2014 at 10:00am at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens. Reverend Jamie Duncan will officiate the service.
