

Andy was born in Hackettstown, NJ, son of Sharon Purdue Sanders of Central and the late Thomas Andrew Sanders. He was a graduate of D. W. Daniel High School and worked as a cashier with Bi Lo in Pendleton. Andy touched many lives and cultivated many friends during his short lifetime. He was always a football fan and loved the Clemson Tigers and he was a lifelong Philadelphia Eagles fan. '
Survivors include his mother, Sharon P. Sanders of Central, step-father, Curt Vigfusson of Central, a brother, Joshua Michael Sanders of Clemson, and a sister, Sarah Marie Sanders of Central. Also surviving are step-brothers, Tyler Lewis Vigfusson of Simpsonville, Erik Vigfusson of New York, and step-sisters, Alita Esposito of Simpsonville, Liana Jervis and Annarose Vigfusson both of Greenville. Also surviving are grandparents, George F. Purdue of Pickens and Norman and Barbara D’Esterre of Montana and Janet Wegelin “Nannie” Vigfusson of Six Mile.
The family will greet friends and family on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 from 5 to 6 PM at Dillard Funeral Home in Pickens with a gathering to celebrate Andy’s life at 6 PM in the funeral home chapel.
