Arthur Harrison Powell Pickens, South Carolina Arthur Harrison Powell, age 88, husband of the late Katherine Klan Keiser Powell and Mamie Jo Williams went to be with the Lord Thursday April 16, 2015 at his home. Mr. Powell was born in Pickens County a son of the Hattie Mae Bearden Powell and Oscar Carroll Powell. Mr. Powell was a past Worshipful Master with the Masonic Lodge. He loved singing and playing his guitar, he also loved and cherished his son Michael, he would often say “You are my buddy”. Mr. Powell loved his entire family. Mr. Powell was a Veteran of the United States Navy. Survivors include his son; Michael Powell of Pickens, one granddaughter; Samantha Mulliger and husband Kevin of Travelers Rest. Mr. Powell was predeceased one son; Arthur Allen Powell, three daughters; Brenda Fricker, Marsha Powell, Carol Lynn and brother Ray Powell. Visitation will be Monday April 20, 2015 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm at Dillard Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will be held 11:00am Tuesday April 21, 2015 at Sunrise Cemetery in Pickens SC. The family will be at the home. Dillard Funeral Home is assisting the Powell family.
