

Dollie Mae Collins Wright Crumpton, 87, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, May 18, 2015. Mrs. Crumpton was born in Oconee County, a daughter of the late Lee and Hattie Calhoun Collins. She was a retired textile worker and she was a member of New Life Baptist Church in Pelzer. Mrs. Crumpton loved her Lord, her family, her church family, and her furry baby, Snoopy. Survivors include a son, Daniel Wright (Janet) of Simpsonville, daughters, Bobbie Watson (James) of Seneca, Joyce Wright of Greenville, Margie Burton (Larry) of Westminster, and Lorraine Harrison of Gray Court, a sister, Mary Stephens of Greenville, 20 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren. Also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews that she loved and adored very much. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Crumpton was preceded in death by 3 sons Michael, Ansel, and Jack Wright and Jack’s wife Sandy, 3 brothers and 3 sisters. The family will receive friends from 10:30 to 12 Noon on Thursday at Dillard Funeral Home with funeral services following in the funeral home chapel at 12 Noon. Burial will be at Red Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Piedmont Hospice for the care they provided Mrs. Crumpton.
