Joan was born May 18, 1941 to the late Verner and Lillie Mae Galbreath. She loved her family and put them first and was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. Joan served the children of Dacusville as their “lunch lady” for over 35 plus years. You would always find Joan tending to her flowers in the yard and selling them at the flea market. She was a graduate of Dacusville High School and was a member of Forestville Baptist Church.
Joan is survived by her husband: Clinton A. Gilreath; her dog: Lillie; three sons: Dale Cisson (Julie) of Easley, Mark Cisson (Kim) of Easley, and Michael Cisson (Stacey) of Greenville; five beloved grandchildren: Zane Atkins (Amanda), Tyler Cisson (Leona), Alyssa West (Josh), Lucy Hatcher (Caleb), and Cooper Cisson; three great-grandchildren: Hagen, Carter, and Donte, with two more on the way; two brothers: Jim Galbreath and Randy Galbreath; one sister: Nancy Finley; and a special niece: Tonia Massey.
She was predeceased by her husband of 42 years: Charles Cisson; one daughter: Rene Atkins; one grandson: Luke Cisson; one brother: Billy Joe Galbreath; one sister: Betty Smith.
A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 AM Monday August 29, 2022 in the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home.
A private family burial at Forestville Baptist Church at a later date.
