Mr. Smith was born in Greenville, SC on April 19, 1989 to Jimmy Ray Thompson of Dacusville and Tina Marie LaTour Lollis of Seneca. Dustin was raised by his mother and adopted father; the late Carlos Andrew Smith, Jr. formerly of Pickens. He worked as an installer of refrigeration equipment, and loved to hike, fish and play his XBOX. Dustin was an avid fan of both the Clemson Tigers and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Dustin is survived by his wife, Ashley Smith; children: Abigail Smith, Jackson Smith, Anna Smith, Lilly-Ann Smith, Joshua Smith, Jesse Gilbert, and Stephanie Bolden; a brother: James Smith; two sisters: Dawn Gilstrap and Elizabeth Russell; his mother-in-law; Kathy Higgins (Zane); his grandparents: Mary Woodall (Paul); a sister-in-law: Katie Higgins; and numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews.
In addition to his father, Carlos, Dustin was preceded in death by a brother: James Sargent; and a sister-in-law: Rose Higgins, both formerly of Six Mile.
The family will host a graveside service at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Pickens.
