Gene E. Stubblefield, 64, husband of Shirley Youngblood Stubblefield, passed from this life on Monday, June 29, 2015 at his home. Gene was born in Pickens County, son of Charles E. Stubblefield of Central and the late Bessie Hendricks Stubblefield. He was co-owner of Foothills Machining in Six Mile and he was a member of Keowee Baptist Church. Gene loved being outdoors working his land and also enjoyed restoring classic cars. Survivors include his wife, Shirley, of the home, daughters, Cheryl Ann Crowe (Michael) of Central and Jennifer Lee Stephens (Alan) of Six Mile and 4 grandchildren, Leanna Renee Crowe, Anthony Edward Crowe, James Edward Stephens, and Andrew Thomas Stephens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at Dillard Funeral Home in Pickens. Funeral services will be conducted 11 AM Thursday, July 2, 2015 in the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home with burial following at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens.
