Mr. Chapman was born in Greenville County on March 17, 1943, to the late JP "Sam" and Fariomae Kytle Chapman. He was veteran of the United States Army and a home builder for many years. Gerald was avid deer hunter, who loved his family and most of all, he loved God.
Mr. Chapman is survived by his three sons: Travis Chapman (Jaclyn), Yancey Chapman (Heather), and Jerry Chapman; a daughter: Melisa Chapman, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, in the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home, with interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Pickens, S.C. Rev. Steve Knight will be officiating the service.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM, prior to the Chapel service, at Dillard Funeral Home.
