Mr. Irby R Brown

Liberty, S.C - Mr. Irby Ransom Brown Jr., 91, passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2023. He was married to the late Betty Joan Daniel Brown, for over 65 years. Irby was the son of the late Irby R. and Lola Glazner Brown of Anderson S.C.

Mr. Brown is survived by his sons: Billy Brown (Thelma), Bobby Brown, and John Mark Brown; his daughters: Linda Brown Schroeder (Terry), Diane Brown Rentz (Al), and Margaret Brown Castillo (R.C.); and a special son: Naresh Jain (Mattie). He is also survived by two brothers, one sister, seventeen grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren. Irby loved his family and appreciated them very much.

In addition to his loving wife and his parents, Mr. Brown was preceded in death by a son: James Irby Brown; and a daughter: Anita Lynn Brown.

Mr. Brown worked in textiles at J.P. Stevens, Clemson S.C., and attended Gethsemane Baptist Church in Starr S.C., when he was able to attend.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, July 31, 2023 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Sam Duncan. Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Mausoleum in Pickens

The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 30, 2023, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Dillard Funeral Home, 2402 Gentry Memorial Highway, Pickens, S.C. 29671.
