Mr. Morton was born in Pickens County, a son of the late Amon and Pauline Spearman Morton. He was retired as a contractor and painter.
Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Nalley (Bill) of Easley and Tina Langston (Danny) of Liberty and a son Steve Morton (Sandra) of Greenville. Also surviving are four grandchildren Ashley E. Nalley, William Bryan Nalley, Caylyn V. Langston, and Ashton M. Langston and a sister Ershal Williams of Pickens.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Morton was predeceased by a sister Gladys Holden and a brother Ray Morton.
