James Elisha Nix, 95, husband of the late Pauline Alexander Nix, passed from this life Tuesday, July 29, 2014. Mr. Nix was born in Pickens County, a son of the late Claude Baker Nix and the late Clara Grogan Nix. He was retired from The Singer Company (Ryobi) in Pickens and he was a member of Keowee Baptist Church. Survivors include his son, Jimmy Dean Nix (Jennie) of Pickens, grandchildren, Dale Nix and Tony Nix both of Greenville, great grandchildren, Jimmy Dale Nix, Jr. and Jessica Nix, and great great grandchildren, Jimmy Dale Nix, III, and Armani Nix. Also surviving is a brother, Ray Nix (Sadie) of Pickens. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2:30 PM Friday, August 1, 2014 at Keowee Baptist Church with funeral services following at 2:30 PM. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family is at the home of his son, Jimmy and Jennie Nix. Dillard Funeral Home Pickens, SC
