JD Medlin

Mr. Medlin was born on June 21, 1932, in Pickens, South Carolina, to the late Claude and Etta Swords Medlin. He enjoyed going to the Home Depot, Lowes or to the local Waffle House with his brother Guy. Mr. Medlin loved to do woodworking, going fishing, gardening, and coloring books.

Mr. Medlin was survived by, his brother: Guy Medlin; a sister in law: Margie Medlin; four nieces: Dianne Winkler, Doris Smith, Joyce Cain, and Pam Quest; five nephews: David Medlin, Daniel Medlin, David Burns, Tony Burns, and Garry Huffman.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Medlin was preceded in death by his siblings: brother, Roy Medlin, sister and brother in law, Elizabeth Dodson and Hovey Dodson, sister and brother in law,Sarah Burns and Gene Burns, sister and brother in law, Lois Watson and David Watson, sister in law, Betty Medlin; three nephews: Joseph Dodson, Mike Medlin, and Steve Huffman.

The funeral will be conducted at 1:30 PM on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, in the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:45 to 1:15 in the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home.

He will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Memorial Park, with no committal service.
