Jerry Benny Childs

Jerry was born in Pickens South Carolina on June 3, 1947, to the late Dwight Marvin and Thelma Davis Childs. He was an active member of Eastatoee Baptist Church until his health declined. Jerry loved sharing his faith with anyone he came in contact with, all the way up until he passed away. He loved to be outdoors hunting and fishing, loved eating some good fried chicken and enjoyed being thrifty in all that he has done in life.

Jerry is survived by four siblings: Chuck Childs (Renea), Trula Davis, Lavon Walker, and Judi Shackleford (Doug), along with numerous nieces and nephews and a special companion Peaches.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by two brothers: Harold Childs and Carroll "Shorty" Childs; three brother in laws:Rex Walker, Doyle Davis, and Joe Williams and one sister in law: Pat Childs.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Tuesday March 11,2025, in the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home.

The family will have visitation from 6:00-8:00 PM on Monday evening March 10, 2025 at Dillard Funeral Home.
