

John was born in Crystal Falls, MI, son of the late John Doward and Norma Marie Abel Wiggins. After graduating from Michigan Technological University, he worked as a mechanical engineer for over thirty years and was a member of Transfiguration Lutheran Church.
His passions in life were his faith in God and his love for his family. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Cindy; his children, Colleen Marie Hydrick (Robby) of Easley, Victoria Ellen Clardy (Bill) of Pickens, and John Wesley Wiggins (Rebecca) of Lexington; his grandchildren, Kyle Mason Clardy, Ellen Ashlee Clardy, Emma Louise Clardy, Blake Robert Hydrick, and John Tyler Wiggins.
John loved sports and for many years participated in tennis, golf, track, bowling, football, basketball, and baseball. He later coached tennis, baseball, bowling, and golf for children.
A memorial service will be held at 3PM on Wednesday, December 3 at Transfiguration Lutheran Church in Cayce.
The family will receive friends from 12:45 to 1:45 PM Thursday, December 4 at Dillard Funeral Home in Pickens, SC followed by a graveside service to celebrate his life at 2 PM at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens.
He leaves this earthly life to join our Heavenly Father and rest in His eternal home.
