Born on May 24, 1955, in Humboldt, TN, she was the daughter to Jane Wall and the late Harry Gene Wall.
Kathy was a faithful member of The Mill Church in Pickens and enjoyed many types of crafts. She especially loved cross-stitching. She was deeply devoted to her family and her loving husband. She cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and especially enjoyed taking them camping with her husband. Her love for children extended into her career as a preschool teacher at Easley Presbyterian Church.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, Michael McManis; son, Steven McManis (Valerie); daughter, Alicia Owens (Stephen); grandchildren: Michaela Owens, Taylor Owens, Kayden McManis, Grady McManis and Kate Owens; a great-granddaughter soon to arrive, Bristol Jean Burleigh, sisters Bevie Scarbrough, and Teresa Smith.
A visitation will be held at Dillard Funerals and Cremation, located at 2402 Gentry Memorial Hwy, Pickens, SC 29671, on November 30, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 2:45 pm.
The funeral service will begin in the funeral home chapel at 3:00 pm with the committal service to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint Jude Research Hospital or Shriners Children’s Hospital.
