Linda was born in Pickens County on May 20, 1947 to the late Marvin David and Nellie Maw Hendricks. She was an amazing wife and mother who was dedicated to her family in every way. Strong and courageous, she was known for her sense of style. That fierce sense of style, combined with her infectious spirit, made her the true epitome of a southern woman.
Most importantly, Linda was a devout Christian. She loved the Bible, especially the Old Testament, and read from it aloud every morning. Linda was the former owner and operator of Over the Rainbow Ladies Boutique, and a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church. Over her years in church she served as a youth leader, led the single group, and taught Sunday school. If you knew her you were blessed.
Mrs. Howard is survived by her two daughters: Lesa Howard of Pickens and Marlena Howard Waggoner (Neil) of Easley; two grandchildren: Nicholas and Eden Waggoner; and a brother: O.D. Hendricks of Pickens.
