Mr. Marcus L. Ellenburg Sr.

Marcus Lynn Ellenburg, Sr Pickens, South Carolina Marcus Lynn Ellenburg, Sr, age 66, husband of Linda Medlin Ellenburg, passed away Sunday September 07, 2014 at Baptist Easley Hospital with his loving family surrounding him. Mr. Ellenburg was born in Pickens County, a son of the late Albert James Ellenburg and Mary Elizabeth Dodgens Ellenburg. Mr. Ellenburg was a member of Missionary Baptist Church in Pickens. He worked with Winn Dixie in Pickens & Liberty until it closed, then Bilo at Easley until disabled. He loved his music and instruments, playing with family and friends, singing and fellowship. He loved the Lord and witnessing. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, daughter; Linda Antonia “Toni” Ellenburg Powell (Patrick) of Pickens SC; Marcus Lynn “Mark” Ellenburg, Jr. (Jill) of Pickens SC, five grand children, Christopher Powell (Candi), Kayla Jackson (Santiago Sotelo), Zachary Powell, Emilie and Gracie Ellenburg: two great grand, Maddison Jackson, Cayden Powell; sister Marilyn Cooper (Jackie) of Pickens, SC, brother Gerald Ellenburg (Veda) of Pickens, SC, sister in law Gladys Ellenburg of Pickens, SC, former Daughter-in-law, Jennifer Ellenburg of Pickens, SC, former grandson-in-law, Cruize Jackson and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Ellenburg was predeceased by his parents and one sister Jane Ladd Hamby, a brother, Joel Ellenburg. Visitation will be Tuesday September 9, 2014 from 6 – 8pm at Dillard Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be Wednesday September 10, 2014 at 11:00am in the chapel. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens.
