Martha and Sloe enjoyed a life living all over the world for 40 years. Martha literally dined with Kings and Queens, Presidents and too many Heads of States to count. While overseas, Martha enjoyed being a loving mother as well as wife. In their different assignments around the world, she started thrift stores so other foreign service agents could donate clothing to help local citizens. She was instrumental starting a hospital, worked in orphanages and left the places better than she found them. She became an artist and a dang good golfer. In the 1980s she and Sloe moved back to Pickens to retire.
Martha was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Davis is survived by a son: Greg Davis (Wanda) of Easley; a daughter: Kip Nations of Pickens; two grandchildren: Amber Davis (Heather) of Easley and Andrew Nations (Adair) of Pickens; two great-grandchildren: Cooper and Alex Nations of Pickens; and a daughter-in-law: Jeannie L.
