Nathan Joseph Walker, 40, of Pickens passed from this life on Sunday, July 27, 2014. Joey was born in Bloomington, IN a son of Tony (Pop) and Lacy Moyne Walker. He was employed with General Electric in Greenville and was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church. Joey was a great dad and son and never met a stranger. He loved people especially babies and kids. Survivors include his parents of Liberty, his daughters Skyler Elizabeth Moyne Walker, Savannah Bailey Walker and their mother, Brandie Walker. Also surviving are brothers, David Walker (Tammy) of Simpsonville, Doug Walker (Jessica) of Duncan, a special brother, Jeff Durham of Pickens and a special daughter, Sylvia Townsend of Pickens. Grandparents include Deloris Megenhardt of Indianapolis, IN and Norma Jean Walker of Freedom, IN. Joey was preceded in death by his son, Tristan Walker. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 PM Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Dillard Funeral Home in Pickens. A graveside service will be held 1 PM Thursday at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens.
