

Pickens – Patty Bell Watson, 72, beloved wife of Roy Watson for 53 years, passed from this life on Tuesday May 30, 2017 surrounded by her family. Mrs. Watson was born in Six Mile, daughter of the late Robert and Lola Bolding Bell. She was retired from Farm Bureau Insurance in Pickens and she was a member of Praters Creek Baptist Church. An active church worker, Mrs. Watson was on the flower committee, taught Vacation Bible School and taught preschool Sunday school for 32 years. She was affectionately known as “Miss Patty” by her students. Mrs. Watson loved tending to her flowers and helping her husband on the farm. She was a country cook and was known for her macaroni and cheese and pound cakes. Mrs. Watson always wanted to be known as a “giving person” who loved God, her church, and her family. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Roy B. Watson of the home, daughter Donna Lamb (David) of Easley and son Ted Watson (Michelle) of Pickens, grandchildren include Cameron Lamb, Rebecca Hayes (Trevor), Ryan Lamb, Hanna Watson, and Kerington Lamb. Also surviving are brothers Michael G. Bell (Debbie) of Los Angeles, CA and Dan D. Bell (Lynn) of Liberty and nieces and nephews Erica B. Davies, Christopher Bell, Steven Bell, Robert Bell, Randall Bell, Tim Powell, Joy Posey, Bill Clardy, Dale Watson, and Rick Watson. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Watson was predeceased by nieces Teresa Bell and Teresa Powell, and nephew Eric Bell. The family will receive friends at Dillard Funeral Home on Friday June 2, 2017 from 2 to 3:15 PM with funeral services following at 3:30 PM in the funeral home chapel.
