Seneca-Richard Everett “Andy” Andrews, age 86, born in Muskogee, Oklahoma and formerly of Panama City Beach, Florida, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 16, 2020.
“Andy”, a proud veteran, retired at the rank of Staff Sergeant from the US military after more than 20 years. His military record included honorable service in the US Marine Corps, US Air Force, plus Civil Service. He served during the Korean Conflict and in the Vietnam War.
Andy had an outgoing personality with a magnetic sense of humor allowing him to make friends everywhere he went. He was a faithful Christian, serving the church as a Deacon and Song Director.
Andy was predeceased by his father, Thomas Reynolds Andrews; mother, Ruby Lee Bohner; Stepfather, Jake Bohner; his first wife of 44 years, Juanita Andrews; sisters, Gwen Hardy and Thommie Lee Shephard; and sons, Arthur Peters and Carlson Peters.
Left to cherish his memory includes his wife, Zora Peterson Andrews; sisters, Roxie Burgess and Connie Smith; brother, Ronnie Dollar; daughter, Trudie Metras, and sons, Michael Peters, Mike Peterson, Mark Peterson, and Jeff Peterson.
A service to celebrate the life of Andy will be held at Dillard Memorial Funeral Home’s Chapel located at 2402 Gentry Memorial Hwy Pickens, SC 29682 on Wednesday, August 19th at 6pm. Interment with full military honors will occur at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, Florida on a date to be announced.
