Robert Earl Patterson Sr.

Mr. Robert E. “Jack” Patterson, Sr., 91, of Pickens and husband of the late Mrs. Helen Bryson Patterson, passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at his home. Born on June 16, 1926, in Oconee County, he was the son of the late Barney Guy and Minnie Bearden Patterson, and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Patterson worked for the Singer Company for 32 years before his retirement. He was a WWII veteran, serving in the US Navy aboard the USS Pyro. Mr. Patterson was also a member of the USS Pyro Association. Surviving are his daughter, Ann (Bill) Westbrook; son, Robert (Sharon) Patterson, Jr.; grandchildren Suzanne Logan, Laura Westbrook, BJ (Anna) Westbrook, Kathy Patterson and Angel Trotter; great-grandchildren, Bryn and Cadie Westbrook and Emily and Charlise Trotter, and special friends Bonnie Lusk and Charles Perry. Mr. Patterson was also predeceased by his brother Roland Patterson and sister Helen Ellenburg. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 25, 2017, from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Dillard Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1:30 p.m. in the Dillard Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Bobby Stewart officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens.
