Ruby Louise Jenkins, 96, wife of the late Charles Willis Jenkins, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Friday, September 2, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Toccoa, GA, she was the daughter of the late Lamon and Ruby Busha Lathan and a resident of Easley since 1966.
Mrs. Jenkins was a beloved Mother and Grandmother, lifetime avid gardener of vegetables and flowers, a fantastic Southern cook, an artist of embroidery and crochet, and the family storyteller. She was a member of Geer Memorial Baptist Church of Easley and a retired nurse’s assistant.
She is survived by two daughters, Kathy (Donnie) Haralson of Easley and Carolyn Schlock of Greer; two sons, Sidney (Connie) Jenkins and David Jenkins of Easley. Also nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and two sisters. She was predeceased by three brothers and one granddaughter.
A service to celebrate Louise’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, September 5, 2016, at Dillard Funeral Home, 2402 Gentry Memorial Hwy., Pickens, SC 29671, with burial to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at 10 a.m., prior to the service.
