William Berry Jameson

Easley, S.C. – Mr. William Berry Jameson, age 87, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday January 4, 2021. Mr.Jameson was born in Pickens County, South Carolina and was the son of the late Burl Lee Jameson and Essie Ellison Jameson and husband to the late Joan Smith Jameson.

Survivors include a son Stan L. Jameson (Fran) and a daughter Jane Jameson both from Easley, South Carolina; two grandchildren Daniel Jameson (Kaylee) and Parker Jameson (Sydney) both from Easley, South Carolina. Also surviving are two great grandchildren Caleb Powell and Landon Jameson.

Mr. Jameson is the last of his siblings and was predeceased by a brother B.L. Jameson and sisters Nannie Mae McCollum, Mary Lee Nolan, Iris Abercrombie, Bettie Abercrombie, Ruby Jane Burnett and Barbara Gantt.

Mr. Jameson served in the United States Air Force and loved his country. He loved his family. He enjoyed cars and car racing especially drag racing. He enjoyed his grandchildren and their love of racing. He played golf and had a hole in one to his credit. He loved hearing his beagles run rabbits. Mr. Jameson was a simple man and did not want a lot of attention on himself. He will be truly missed by those who knew him.

A graveside service will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park at 2410 Gentry Memorial Hwy, Pickens, S.C. 29671 on Thursday at 3:00 PM. The Reverend Michael Montgomery will be officiating.
