

Mary Edith Meadows, 80, of Pineville, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 24th from Bowers Hospice House. She was born October 30th, 1934 in Evarts, Ky. She was the daughter of Perry and Matilda Hatmaker of Welch. Mary has been a member of Rockcastle Baptist Church for 53 years. She retired from the Wyoming County Board of Education in 1988 after 22 years of service. She served as a secretary and aid at Pineville Elementary, Pineville Jr. High, Pineville High School and the Wyoming County Vocational School. She was preceded in death by a son, Gregory Lyndon Meadows, three sisters, Nina Brown, Maxine Taylor and Betty Willis, and two brothers, Perry and Glen Hatmaker. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 61 years, Dwight Meadows of Pineville, three sons, Brad Meadows of Belle, Dean Meadows of Matheny, and David Meadows and wife Andi of Lynco, a sister, Valera Simmons of Beckley, six grandchildren, Karri Mullins and husband Eddie of Pinnacle, NC, Katie Meadows of Pilot Mountain, NC, Lyndsie Suttle and husband Billy of Rockview, Haleigh Banther and husband Josh of Matheny, Greg Meadows and wife Brittany of Pineville, and Dwight Meadows of St. Albans, six great-grandchildren, Zackary and Ashlee Blankenship, Kyleigh and Joseph Banther, Jaxon Suttle and Ava Meadows, and a host of nephews and nieces.
