Robert L "Bob" Sims

Robert L (Bob) Sims, Sr., 72, of Pineville, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2015. Born August 31, 1942 in Morgantown, WV he was the son of the late Abner and the late Marie Smith Sims of Morgantown. Bob enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, working and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter Sarah D Sims, two brothers, Carl Sims and Abner Sims, Jr. and two sisters, Ermma Jean Cole and Rose Ann Henry. Survivors include two sons, Bobby Sims and his wife, Regina of Pineville and Johnny Sims and his wife, Debbie of Pineville; five daughters: Rosie Sims of Pineville, Joyce Lusk of Pineville, Connie Mullins of Pineville, Crystal Sims of Morgantown and Chrissy Murry and her husband, George of Morgantown; two brothers, Earl Sims and his wife, Penny of Morgantown and Jimmy Sims and his wife, Irene also of Morgantown; one sister, Joann Watkins and her husband, Steve of Springfield; his companion, Janie Combs of Matheny ; eighteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1pm, Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Calfee Funeral Service Chapel with the Pastor Keith Reed officiating. Interment will follow at Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny. Friends may call 6-8pm, Tuesday, May 19 at the funeral home. Steven Sims, Kip Frey, Jeff Lovejoy, Tim Ellison, Jason Smyth and Jonathan Sims will serve as pallbearers.
