Age 96, of Wexford, formerly of Drexel Hill, PA., went to be with Jesus on Saturday, November 22, 2014. Loving husband of the late Gretchen Thompson; beloved father of Lynne (Bill) Curran of Media, PA, Linda (Rob) Blankemeyer of Wexford and the late Barbara Repsher (survived by Hank) of Springfield, PA; proud grandfather of Stephen (Kathleen), Matthew, Lindsay (Owen), Gretchen (Nathan), Meredith (Garrett), Kristin (Jimmy) and Adam; great-grandfather of Miles, Emily and Connor. Al was a Navy veteran of WWII, an active member of Orchard Hill Church, and he loved all sports. Friends will be received on Saturday, November 29, 2014, from 9 am until the time of a Memorial Service at 11 am, at Orchard Hill Church, 2551 Brandt School Rd., Wexford. In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that those so inclined may make a donation to Fisher House foundation, 111 Rockville Pike, Ste 420, Rockville, MD 20950.
