Andrew F. Ferlic

On Friday, February 17, 2012, Andrew F., 87; of South Park Twp.; Beloved husband of the late Mary Ann (Patnesky); Father of Andy (Janet) Ferlic and Joe (Debbie) Ferlic both of Bethel Park; Grandfather of Michael, Brett, Jeremy, Kyle, Kasey and Karley; Brother of the late Rose Terchick and Dorothy Grimes; Also survived by Nieces and Nephews. Andy served in WWII as a military policeman in the South Pacific. He then worked for the U.S. Veterans Administration for more than 35 years helping veterans receive educational and medical benefits they earned serving our country. Andy was a member of the Curry Vets Soccer Team that won the 1948 National Club Championship. He was also an avid golfer and gardener. Andy was a life-long member of the SNPJ in Broughton. Friends received Sunday 7-9 PM and Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the GRIFFITH MORTUARY, INC., 5636 Brownsville Road, Broughton-Curry-South Park Twp. Funeral Prayer Tuesday at 9:30 AM with Mass of Christian Burial in Nativity Church at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Andy’s name to Greater Pittsburgh Alzheimer Association.
