Christine Bianchi

Christine L. (Iverson) Bianchi, of Bellevue, was born Feb. 15, 1917, and died peacefully at age 93 surrounded by her loving family Saturday, Jan. 8, 2011. She was the beloved wife of the late George P. Bianchi; and loving mother of Nancy (Jesse) Maruca, Paul (Rey) Bianchi, Elaine (the late Michael) Compton and Karin (John) Dowker. She is also survived by her special granddaughter, Sherri (Jim) Monaco; 10 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and siblings Bill, Sue and Richard. She was preceded in death by her twin, Pauline; and brothers and sisters, Ralph, Clayton, Jack and Elizabeth. As a child she was a professional dancer and also was a well-versed poet, wonderful seamstress, great cook and loved her animals. Friends will be received from noon to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the H.P. BRANDT FUNERAL HOME INC., 1032 Perry Hwy., Ross Township, 412-364-4444, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday.
