Mr. Claude A. Goode

On Tuesday, November 2, 2010, in Jefferson Regional Medical Center, Jefferson Boro., PA, Claude A., 85, of Pleasant Hills, born on August 22, 1925 in Maybeury, WV. Son of the late Claud Z. and Helen Marie (McMahon) Goode. Beloved husband of the late Annabel (Hatfield) Goode, having met while both attending Concord College in Athens, WV in 1947; Loving father of Sarah G. (Dr. W. Thomas) Corder, Victoria McDougal both of Morgantown, WV and Claude C. (Erin) Goode of Allentown, PA. Grandfather of the late Ian Anderson McDougal; brother Eugene T. (Marilyn) Goode of Greenwood, SC; and the late Lawrence Victor Goode; brother in law of Tess Goode; Mr. Goode earned Master’s Degree in Mining Engineering from WVU, was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran and worked for the Dept. of the Interior, U.S. Bureau of Mines, Pittsburgh, PA until his retirement. Friends received Friday 2 – 4 & 6 - 7 PM with Funeral Service immediately following at 7 PM at the GRIFFITH MORTUARY, INC., 5636 Brownsville Road, Broughton-Curry-South Park Twp., Interment will be held at a later date in Athens Cemetery, Athens, WV. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Claude’s memory to Labor of Love Ministries, Inc., 980 Stewartstown Road, Morgantown, WV 26505.
