Frederick A. Miner

Frederick A. Miner, 71, of McCandless, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 1, 2021 at home in the company of friends and family. He was born on December 30, 1949 and was the son of the late Jack Miner and Suzanne Marshall Kraeling.

Fred lived a full life and would often reminisce about his high school band, The Carpet Baggers, his time at Kent State University, and many other adventures. He founded FAMREPS, Inc. in 1978 and spent the last twenty-five years as a financial advisor with Allegheny Investments. He greatly enjoyed playing golf and sailing. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, kindness to all, and generous heart.

He is survived by two children, Jack (Megan) Miner and Patrick Miner, one grandson, Brett Miner, sister Marsha Martin, partner, Rebecca Holland, and many extended family members and friends.

A celebration of Frederick´s life will be held at a later date.

A celebration of Frederick´s life will be held on October 2 starting at 3:00 at Ingomar Church (1500 W. Ingomar Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15237) and continuing at Shannopin Country Club at 4:00 (1 Windmere Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15202).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
