George “Dick” R. Sarver, 89, of McCandless, passed away peacefully on May 31,2021 at his home surrounded by his family after a long and courageous battle with Dementia. A decorated Korean War veteran. Dick is survived by his wife of 64 years, Joan Smelscer Sarver. Loving father of Richard (Patty) Tavernier, Fla; William, Pittsburgh; Greg, McCandless; Jill (Greg) Rhoton of North Lima, Ohio and Kelly of McCandless. He was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey and his brother Jack and his sisters Mary and Kay. Adored Pappy of 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Sisters Joanne “Babe”, Pat, Judy and Sandy and his brother Ronnie.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the American Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer’s Association.
