

Preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Joy Foley Stephens. George A. Stephens; devoted father of George Matthew Stephens (Nancy) of Landenberg, PA and Roberta Ruth Milavec (Dennis) of Apopka, FL; proud grandfather of Matthew Paul and Margaret Rose “Maggie” Stephens and Kelley Alayne and Connor James Milavec; brother of Richard and the late Betty Barfield.
George was a man who loved being a husband, parent, grandparent and friend to many. He enjoyed traveling with his wife Joy as well as rooting on his grandchildren’s sports teams and attending their Choral concerts. George served in both the US Army and US Marine Corps and was a retired Telephoto Engineer with United Press International.
George was a member of Allison Park Church and member of the Prime Timers fellowship. He was an active volunteer at the Network of Hope Food Bank-Hampton and was an avid bird photographer.
Family and friends are invited to join in a Celebration of His Life being held Saturday February 12th from 10 AM until time of service at 11 AM at the H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, Inc., 1032 Perry Highway, Ross Twp., (412-364-4444). A luncheon reception will follow the service.
