Gilbert was a retired forklift operator for the General Paper Corporation of Pittsburgh
He is survived by his son; Donald G. Chriest of Harmony, and his two daughters; Debbie Chriest and her husband Gregory Dunford of Cranberry Township, Kimberly and her husband Joseph Babinsack of Ford City, five grandchildren; Harley, Vincent, Alexandra, Johnathan, and Dayton, and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ann Wilson Chriest, and a sister; Merle Weissbart.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday October 24th from 2:00 to 5:00PM at the H. P. Brandt Funeral Home 1032 Perry Hwy. Pittsburgh, PA.
