Jim was born in Hamtramck, Michigan, the son of the late Frank and Mary Dombkowski. He was a cherished brother, uncle, and active member of Victory Baptist Church in Homer City, PA.
After high school, Jim served in the U.S. Coast Guard for eight years, stationed around the Great Lakes of Michigan. He later worked in various positions in Michigan, Florida, and North Carolina. Jim is survived by his nieces, Lisa & Jed Downs, Linda & Jim Hufstetler, and Caroline & Larry Luteran, as well as seven grand-nephews and grand-nieces and five great-nieces and great-nephews.
