James A Douglass

Douglass, James Albert (“Jim”) of Ross Township age 56, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Jim was born on October 15, 1966, in Wilkinsburg, PA, to the late Juanita F. Douglass and the late Lauren N. Douglass. He grew up in Millvale where he developed childhood friendships that would last a lifetime. He attended Sample Elementary, Shaler Junior High and Shaler High School.

He attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where he met many of his life-long friends. He was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega (ATO) fraternity. He was an avid Steeler and Pirate fan and every year enjoyed fantasy football and baseball with his friends. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

He was a loving brother and is survived by Bruce Petrone of Texas; Dr. Dianne Petrone of Texas; Felix Petrone (Shirley) of Verona; Donna Petrone Snyder, Esq. (Philip) of Texas; and Frank Petrone of Pittsburgh. He was a dear uncle to and is also survived by his nephews Dr. Christopher Snyder (Nancy) of Missouri and Ryan Snyder of New York. He is further survived by many loving extended family members and numerous friends.

Family and friends are welcome at the H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, 1032 Perry Hwy, Pittsburgh, PA 15237 on Friday, August 4, 2023, 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm with service at 7 pm. He will be laid to rest beside his loving Mother at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Penn Hills, PA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions may be made to American Heart Association.
