James A. McKnight

James resided in Leawood, KS and was formerly of McCandless Twp. and Washington, PA. He passed on Thursday, May 28, 2015. He is survived by his beloved wife, Marilyn McKnight of Leawood, KS and his sister, Mary Elaine Kamperman of Washington, PA; he is also survived by three stepchildren, Lynn Schneider (Tom) of Overland Park, KS, Robert Lucas of Fort Pierce, FL and Gail Ross (Calvin) of Pittsburgh, PA; three step-grandchildren, Mark Schneider (Tina), Ryan Schneider (Jennifer) and Jason Lucas; James also has four step-great-grandchildren, Jack, Luke, Trent, and Gabrielle Schneider. James McKnight was a half brother of Roy and Donald McKnight, both of Washington, PA and Darlene Cannon of Cannosburg, PA. Mr. McKnight was a truck driver for Dillie Motor Freight for 40 years and a member of the Local Teamsters 249. He was a WWII veteran having served as a sergeant in the US Army. Jim has always been an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Friends received Friday, June 5, 2015, from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. at the ORION C. PINKERTON FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1014 California Ave., Avalon (412-766-5600). Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery, Washington, PA.
