
Joanne Estelle (Rozanski) Pasquinelli , 79 of Valencia, passed away at home on October 2, 2017, from stage 4 breast cancer. Joanne was born at Allegheny Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA on January 25, 1938, a daughter of the late Joseph W. and Cecelia L. Rozanski . She grew up on Norman Street until she married and moved to the North Hills where she lived for 38 years. She and her husband, Lawrence moved to Ft. Lauderdale for 7 years and returned to Pittsburgh where they spent the next 14 years in Cranberry Township. Due to health conditions they spent their last days in Valencia, PA. Joanne went to Saint Cyprians School till 1952. She then attended Our Lady of the Sacred Heart and graduated June 10, 1956. She received her Bachelor of Education from Duquesne University and her Master of Special Education from the University of Pittsburgh. Joanne continued her education at the University of Pittsburgh receiving an additional 60 master level credits. Joanne was a teacher for 39 years. She taught at the Catholic Schools, Public Schools and A.W. Beattie Technical School. It was her joy spending time with all her students. She spent her last 15 years of teaching as a Facilitator and Co-op Coordinator at A.W Beattie Technical School.
Joanne leaves behind her husband, Lawrence M. Pasquinelli; son, Lawrence M. Pasquinelli II, her adopted son, James Affeldt, son, Michael L. Pasquinelli and his wife Dawn and grandchildren, Zachary, Maxwell and Jaden Eliza. Brother in law, Louis Pasquinelli and his deceased wife, Angelina Pasquinelli; sister, Marianne and her deceased husband, Floyd Ellenberger; brother, Joseph W. and his wife Carole Rozanski; aunt Frances Ruszkowski and aunt and uncle Irene and Dr. Hank Payan; adopted daughter, Marcia Killian and her sons, Mark and Justin and many dear friends; Favorite nieces and nephews: Larry, Lou and Luanne, Debbie, Dale and Niecie, Rhonda, Joe and GiGi. As well as many favorite great nieces and nephews and even more great great nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the Atrium of Saint Kilians’s Church, Cranberry twp., on Wednesday from 9am until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10am. Interment will follow in Christ Our Redeemer Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, Inc., 412-364-4444.
