John Semko

On Tuesday, January 25, 2011, John, 89, of Jefferson Hills. Beloved husband of the late Albina (Dolence) Semko; Father of Beverly (Scott) Price of Coral Gables, FL, David Semko of Jefferson Hills and Diane (Al) Lischner of Pleasant Hills; grandfather of Nicci Lischner, Hilary Price, Erin Price & Alli Lischner; brother of Mike Semko, Sue Gosiliak, Margaret Lype & the late Anne Bordo, Helen Champ, twin sister Elizabeth Turk & Mary Giovannucci. Also survived by many nieces, nephews & godchildren who brought a lot of joy to his life. John was a U. S. Army veteran who fought bravely in Europe during WWII and was a POW in Germany, he was an avid bowler, fisherman and one of the greatest generation, who will be missed by his family, whom he loved deeply. Friends received Thursday 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 PM at the Griffith Mortuary, Inc., 5636 Brownsville Road, Broughton-Curry-South Park Twp. Funeral Prayer Friday at 9:30 am, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Elizabeth Church at 10 am.
