Joseph Lee Fatta

Joseph Lee Fatta, 66, on February 12, 2025 after a brief illness. The son of Josephine Fatta of Buffalo and the late Joseph Fatta, brother of Linda Fox of Florida, Colleen Fatta of Buffalo and brother of the late Todd Fatta, Joe (Joey to his family) worked in his earlier years for moving companies, various IT departments and was an EMT. He also was a member of Elfinwild Volunteer Fire Company, where he particularly enjoyed playing Santa Claus, even before he grew the Covid beard. He earned an Associates Degree in Computer Science from CCAC and attended Robert Morris. With his long-time partner Kathryn Kimball, Joe enjoyed travel (Long Island, Buffalo, Canada, Las Vegas, Florida, San Francisco, New Orleans and two Super Bowls). Having moved from Buffalo to Pittsburgh at the age of 18, he was conflicted between the Steelers and the Bills but found a way to root for both. His nieces and nephew remember fun times with Uncle Joe at Kennywood, the movies, eating out and sleepovers, including time in the backyard where the plastic pool was not big enough for everybody. Joe had a playful sense of humor with a tendency to embarrass the recipient and a good heart. He is already greatly missed.
