My condolences to your family. Kim was a sweet kind girl. I am Cheryl Ormsbee's sister.  I remember Kim and Cheryl hanging out together and especially remember when Kim and I both got dogs from the same litter that became huge dogs.  May you find comfort in the thought that Kim is no longer in pain.  My prayers for the family as you go through this difficult time.

When I photographed you and Kimberly, I was impressed with her kind, gentle way of emphasizing those around her.  She wanted a photo, only if it included Kevin or Nate or Sarah.  Her work with JDRF was similarly touched by a gracious giving to others.  She will be missed.  I'm so sorry for your loss.  My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Kevin, Nathan,and Sarah,
    I was so sad to see Kim's obituary in the paper today. I don't know if you remember me Kevin, but I am the nurse who worked with Dr. Malay at AGH. I have such fond memories of Kim---I remember her strength and courage, and her beautiful smile. We had such nice talks---she loved you and your children so much, and fought so hard to do everything to stay well.  I have thought about her every now and then since leaving Allegheny, and now, of course, feel badly that I didn't keep in touch.  My thoughts and prayers are with you all----I know that she was an inspiration to many.

I knew Kim through Ron and Paige, and would always talk with her at the various gatherings at their home. Every time we talked, our coversations always focused on one thing: our children. When I found out she was ill, I was so surprised, because never once did she ever mention her own struggles. How someone could be so brave and so concerned about her family was what drew me to her. She was so proud of her children and so filled with love and concern for her family. It was a pleasure to know her.

Kevin, Nathan, and Sarah, I am sorry for your loss. Kimberly was a wonderful person. I always admired her strength and her ability to care for others while going through her own challanges. She loved you.
I would also like extend my condolences to the rest of her family and her JDRF "family". She will be missed.
