Loretta Brunner

Age 95, of McCandless Township, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 5, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Mathilda and Anthony Brunner. She is preceded in death by her siblings, Raymond, Andrew, Rose and Beatrice Brunner. She is survived by Shirley Brunner (Raymond’s wife) and her nephews. At a very young age, Loretta chose to work alongside her father on the family dairy farm. This would become her lifelong career until the dairy closed. She loved to share her stories and experiences about the life of a dairy farmer. She spoke of these things with such pride, and it was clear that she loved the life that she chose. Loretta also stepped in at a very young age and took on the role of caregiver for her younger siblings and father after her mother passed away. She was an avid baker, cook and gardener. She enjoyed sharing her vast knowledge of all those things with others.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday June 14th, 2022 from 9AM to 10:30AM prior to the church service at H.P. BRANDT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1032 Perry Highway, Ross Township, 412-364-4444. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11:00AM in St. Teresa of Avila Church. Burial will follow at Holy Savior Cemetery.
