Marie F. Schuetz

Marie F. (Martin) Schuetz of Allison Park, passed away at Concordia at Rebecca Residence in Allison Park surrounded by family on May 23, 2023. Marie was born and raised in Chicago, IL on April 26, 1929 to Joseph and Frances (Jenniches) Martin. In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Ralph Schuetz; her infant daughter, Suzan; and her siblings, Katherine, Joseph, and Raymond.

Marie is survived by her three loving children, David Schuetz (Sherri), Laura Forauer (Andrew), and Mark Schuetz (Rebecca); she was the cherished and proud “grandma” of Ethan Forauer (Ali), Brendan Forauer, Katie, Matthew (Kristen) and Michael Schuetz and Collin Schuetz.

Marie was an active member of St. Catherine of Sweden in Allison Park, PA. She also volunteered for many years at Hampton Fields. She loved to cook, bake, and spend time hosting many family dinners. Marie was a faithful servant of the Lord and accepting of all. She was a friend, aunt, and “second mom” to many. She will be remembered for her wit, honesty, strength, and unconditional love.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 from 4pm-7pm at H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, Inc., 1032 Perry Highway, Pittsburgh, PA 15237 where a funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at 11am, followed by interment at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
