Nancy Lee Harnett

Age 80, of Fisher Island, Florida, passed away on September 22, 2013. She was the daughter of the late William and Harriet Emma (McDonald) Greiner. Nancy was the wife of William Joseph Harnett; beloved mother of William David Brett Harnett of Virginia, Kimberly Strand of Virginia, and the late Susan Harnett of Pittsburgh; loving grandmother of Amanda Strand Lineberg and Caroline Strand; and sister of William Greiner and Carolyn Schilling. Nancy was a member of the Bakerstown Presbyterian Church. During her life, she was an accomplished fashion model and teacher, homemaker, property manager, financial investor, and most vitally, Nancy lovingly invested herself in people. Nancy was well-known for her volunteer work and philanthropy. She supported the Boys and Girls Club of Western Pennsylvania and the Pittsburgh Opera, and served as a member of the Twenty Five Club of Magee Women's Hospital. Always a careful and often humorous observer, Nancy valued learning. Traveling brought Nancy deep joy, especially with her grandchildren.
