

Patricia Ann Carusone, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away on January 22, 2025, in Pittsburgh, PA at the age of 82. She was surrounded by her children. Pat was born in Philadelphia, PA on December 12, 1942, to Rosemary and Edward Fitzgerald. She was raised in Fairfield, CT, and married for 52 years to Richard Carusone, who died in 2019. Pat and Dick raised four children in Madison, CT. Pat was predeceased by her brother Edward and survived by her brothers Steven, William, and Michael. She is also survived by her children Chris Carusone (Amy) of Cranberry Township, PA, Nancy Hinding of Branford, CT, Leigh Katz (Mark) of Cornwall on Hudson, NY, and Matt Carusone (Meredith) of Trumbull, CT, as well as by her six grandchildren Michael Carusone, Thomas Hinding, Grace and Abigale Katz, and Bryn and Luke Carusone. Pat was a lively and funny woman who had an extraordinary ability to connect with others. She had a passion for learning and was an avid reader. A natural beauty, she was voted "Miss Fairfield" as a young woman.
Before marrying, she was a stewardess for American Airlines, and she later had a successful career in real estate. Pat loved to paint, watch classic movies, read the New York Times, and spend time with her family. She was a faithful daughter of the church. Mass will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 10:00 AM, at St. Margaret Catholic Church, 24 Academy Street, Madison, CT. It will be followed immediately by a burial at West Cemetery, Madison. May she forever rest in the peace and comfort of God's love with the memories of a life well lived, and may she always look down and protect the loved ones she left behind.
