On Wednesday, May 20, 2020, Phyllis Marie (DeRubbo) Bisese, age 94, of Ross Twp. Preceded in death by the love of her life, her beloved husband of 66 years Anthony R. Bisese, her parents Anthony DeRubbo and Mary Rocco, and by many loving cousins and friends. She is survived by her two children David J. Bisese (Shawna) of New Mexico and Amy Bisese Keener (Scott) of Ben Avon; granddaughters Stephanie, Emily and Kimberly Keener; brother-in-law Charles Bisese of Longview, TX; and by several nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear, dear friends.
Phyllis grew up in Rankin Borough, graduating from Rankin High School in 1944. She spent her life as a homemaker, mother, volunteer and wonderful hostess. Phyllis was a member of St. Teresa of Avila Church in Perrysville. She was a dedicated volunteer for the Junior Women's Auxiliary of Suburban General Hospital in Bellevue for over 50 years, where she held several leadership positions and frequently chaired the "Toy Ball" fundraiser. For decades, she also chaired the committee that ran the New-To-You Shoppe in Bellevue.
Friends received Tuesday 11 AM-1 PM, 3-5 PM, and 7-9 PM at the H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, Inc., 1032 Perry Hwy., Ross Twp., where a Blessing Service will be held Wednesday at 10 AM. A limit of 25 guests at a time will be observed, and please wear a face mask. Interment will follow in Allegheny County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the Childhood Leukemia Foundation.
